Mistreatment.com is delighted to announce it has won ‘Gold’ at the 12th Annual Horizon Interactive Awards for the ‘Legal: Best of Category’  for our website.

In addition our website has been further shortlisted for the ‘Oscars’ of the internet: The Webby Awards.

The Horizon Interactive Awards is a prestigious international competition recognising outstanding achievement for information based websites on the internet and awards the best web sites, videos, online advertising, print media and mobile applications.

Mistreatment.com won Gold for its information packed website relating to medical negligence, medical conditions, cutting-edge news relating to the legal healthcare industry and the way it engages with the public through the content on its website.

Each year, the Horizon Interactive Awards receive thousands of entries from all over the world. A panel of industry professionals, from diverse multi-media, graphic design and marketing backgrounds, review the entries to determine the work that is to be recognized. Entries are given either a Gold, Silver, Bronze, and in some cases honourable mention award distinctions. As a Gold winner, Mistreatment.com became eligible for the Best of Category and Best of Show award (the Horizon Interactive Awards highest honour).

This is a remarkable achievement given that our website was only launched in August 2013.

We are just as excited to announce we have been shortlisted for the prestigious Webby Awards-the ‘Oscars’ of website awards. The Webby Awards is the leading international award honouring excellence on the Internet. Established in 1996 during the Web's infancy, The Webbys is presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) — a 1,000+ member judging body that includes Executive Members comprised of leading Web experts, business figures, luminaries, visionaries and creative celebrities, and Associate Members who are former Webby Award Winners and Nominees and other Internet professionals.

The Academy is an intellectually diverse organisation that includes members such as actor Kevin Spacey, musician David Bowie, Internet Co-inventor Vint Cerf, Arianna Huffington, President and Editor-in-Chief of Huffington Post Media Group, Twitter Co-founder Biz Stone, Chairman and Founder of R/GA Bob Greenberg, Co-Founder of Instagram Kevin Systrom, Executive Creative Director at Google Lab, Iain Tait, Mozilla CEO and Chair Mitchell Baker, Tumblr Founder David Karp, and Roy L. Furman Professor of Law and Leadership at Harvard Law School, Lawrence Lessig.

The 18th Annual Webby Awards received 12,00 entries from over 60 countries and all 50 states and generated over 900 million media impressions worldwide.

Reflecting the tremendous growth of the Internet as a tool for business and everyday lives, the 18th Annual Webby Awards expands the mission of the Webby by honoring excellence in Websites, Interactive Advertising & Media, Online Film & Video.

We are very excited to be shortlisted for this extremely special award for the powerful and rich website content on Mistreatment.com and need your support: please vote for us at these prestigious awards.
