Claimant who was negligently fitted with dental implants following periodontal disease receives compensation
A Mistreatment.com dental negligence panel solicitor acted for Mr. M after he was provided with substandard dental treatment. Mr. M asked his dentist for dental implants as a number of his teeth were missing. Unfortunately, unknown to Mr. M at the time, he suffered from a severe periodontal disease which meant the dental implants were always going to fail, and he should have been warned of this by his dentist.
The implant placement should have been delayed whilst he received treatment for periodontitis. The solicitor was able to secure an award for compensation of £10,895, which would allow Mr. M to undergo full restorative dental treatment, including the placement of a permanent denture, to give him the smile that he originally requested back when treatment first started.
